In 1992, the words marked the beginning of a new era were Merry Christmas, because they were the content of the first sms sent in history. The engineer Neil Papworth was in charge of sending it and he did it through his computer, the mobiles still did not have a keyboard to send messages. The text message reached a mobile that weighed at least 2 kilograms and that belonged to a Vodafone manager. Now the British company is putting it up for auction. This digital frame shows the code used to send the first text message. The buyer will receive a replica of the communication system that transmitted the sms and the benefits will go to UNHCR.
