Top 10 Best Soulsborne Waifus (From All ‘Souls’ Games)

It’s not a secret that the world of the Soulsborne games is chock-full of hideous monstrosities and grotesque abominations.

Fortunately, not everything in this world has gone mad or succumbed to the darkness.

Sometimes in your travels you come across unique and interesting people. People that strike you with thoughtful conversations.

And for this ranking we’ll be focusing on some notable women of the series, seeing who would be the best candidates to respectfully ask to be your waifus.

10. Desert Sorceress

Original game: Dark Souls 2

The enchanting Desert Sorceress(es) come from the land of Jugo, and currently serve under the rule of Mytha the baneful queen, at Earthen Peak.

A Desert Sorceress uses her appearance to lure in her victims, and seduce them to do her bidding.

Should you prove to be even the slightest threat to the Queen, the sorceress will immediately light you up with a mix of destructive fire magic.

Approach at your own risk!

9. The Doll

Original game: Bloodborne

The Doll was created by Gerhman to keep him company, while also helping any hunters that joined the Hunter’s Dream.

Gerhman had feelings for one of his students, Lady Maria – and after her disappearance he created The Doll in her image. As a placebo for his broken heart.

Unfortunately, a doll is just a doll that lacks any form of personality.

So Gerhman lost interest.

Will you follow in his footsteps?

8. Lady Maria

Original game: Bloodborne

The aforementioned Lady Maria.

Even though she’s the real deal, she doesn’t rank that high as “wife material” in my opinion.

After joining the Hunters, she dedicated her life to guarding the secret of the fishing hamlet, where the Orphan of Kos is found.

Don’t be surprised if one day you wake up and she’s gone “guarding another mystery”.

7. Sister Friede

Original game: Dark Souls 3

Sister Friede is a mysterious woman with a dark background.

She’s one of the founders of the Sable Church of Londor, and after abandoning it she found her way into the Painted World of Ariandel.

The lore behind her is relatively cloudy and sinister.

In-game you can notice various primordial serpents littered in the paintings associated with her.

One thing is sure though:

You’re gonna have a bad time going against her.

6. Chaos Witch Quelaag

Original game: Dark Souls

At first sight, Quelaag looks like yet another demonic monster that just wants your soul.

While that might be true to some extent, her cause is a noble one.

The Fair Lady (Quelaag’s sister) helped her people by absorbing a blight – and is now heavily ill.

Quelaag brings the souls of the fallen adventurers to her sister, to ease her pain ever so slightly.

I’d like to think that in different times, Quelaag would be a kind soul.

5. Crossbreed Priscilla

Original game: Dark Souls

Priscilla is the child of Seath the Scaleless, and another mysterious individual. She resides locked inside the Painted World of Ariamis.

She might claim that the inhabitants of the world are “kind” and “peaceful” souls, yet all it takes is one brisk walk through the world to realize she is either completely oblivious – or full of lies.

Be careful not to anger her, though. Or she might go disappearing on you.

4. Maiden in Black

Original game: Demon’s Souls

If we’re giving praise where praise is due, we’ve gotta talk about the original girl of the series: the Maiden in Black.

She appears in the Nexus after you defeat the Phalanx, tells you about the state of the world, and lets you power up through her magic.

She’s the mold that was used to create the “main” girls in the following games, even though she was close to perfection herself.

Even when you attack her she doesn’t retaliate. Because all she wants is to have the world be in peace once again.

3. Firekeeper

Original game: Dark Souls 3

Even though there are many firekeepers, everyone knows who you’re talking about when you mention “The Firekeeper”

In a game full of despair and darkness, the Firekeeper provides a friendly respite of kindness that eases your mind, if only for a moment.

The way she responds to various things and emotes (she even dances with you), is an excellent touch that truly makes her the best girl of her game.

2. Emerald Herald (Shanalotte)

Original game: Dark Souls 2

Bearer of the curse…

Seek souls. Larger, more powerful souls.

Seek the King, that is the only way.

Lest this land swallow you whole… As it has so many others.

Or as the vast majority of players usually hear it as…

“Bear-Seek-Seek-Lest!”

The Emerald Herald, in my opinion, is the epitome of the bonfire companion.

Her aesthetics are amazing. And paired with the beauty of Majula, they make for an incredible first-time experience.

The way her story unfolds as you meet her through various areas of the game is truly unmatched.

1. Solaire of Astora

Original game: Dark Souls

The way I see it, our fates appear to be intertwined. In a land brimming with Hollows, could that really be mere chance? So, what do you say? Why not help one another on this lonely journey?

There’s not much to say here, and you all knew this was happening.

Solaire is the ultimate partner. So of course he’d be the #1 waifu/husbando.

He just shines so brightly…

If only I could be so grossly incandescent!
