The rise in prices in recent months in the electricity market is mainly explained by the high prices of gas in the markets and the carbon dioxide emission rights (CO2), at maximum historical figures this year.

All the clients of these companies have been transferred to a reference marketer, that is, to EDP, Endesa, Iberdrola, Grupo CHC, Naturgy, Repsol or Teramelcor.

It should be recalled that the rise in electricity prices has put multiple marketers at risk of insolvency , since they must present financial obligations in advance to guarantee that they will meet the amounts owed to OMIE and REE.
