It feels like, no matter what, you can always ~count on~ (at least!) one Duggar couple to be pregnant at a time. In 2019, the family even experienced a serious baby boom as Josh and Anna Duggar, Jessa and Ben Seewald, Joseph and Kendra Duggar and Josiah and Lauren Duggar all welcomed little ones of their own. Just a couple of days into the new year, John David and Abbie Duggar also got in on the excitement as the new mom gave birth to a baby girl.
There are now more Duggar grandchildren than there are Duggar kids. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s family continues to grow with every passing year as more Counting On alums announce their pregnancies and bring home their little bundles of joy. In the past, most couples have shared they’re happy to have as many kids as God gives them — and based on how many he gave the family matriarch, we’re expecting that to be quite a lot.
But not all of the TLC stars are looking to expand the family tree. Jill and Derick Dillard have hinted they’re content with the two sons they already have, Israel and Samuel. Though Jill’s parents don’t believe in birth control, her husband has made it clear they don’t feel the same way. The law school student has also been open about how waiting might be the right move for them if they do choose to have more children.
“My parents waited 11 years to start having kids, and there’s nothing wrong with that,” he told a fan in August 2019. “Each Christian family should follow God’s leading for their own family, regarding when and how many kids to have.” In April 2020, he clarified on the “First Class Fatherhood” podcast that they’re “not definite” about whether they’d like to try for a girl. “We’ll see,” he said. “We’re just kind of enjoying life.”
As for the rest of the family, they seemingly can’t get enough of their new little blessings. Check out the gallery below to keep up with which Duggars are pregnant, could be pregnant soon or recently gave birth.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald
After announcing they were expecting baby No. 3 in January 2019, the good-looking couple welcomed their first daughter on May 26, 2019. Naming her Ivy Jane Seewald, they shared, “We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift. She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!” They’ve been looking forward to meeting her for a while, too. The couple also shares sons Henry and Spurgeon.
“Henry doesn’t have a clue what’s coming, but Spurgeon understands and he talks about the baby quite a bit,” Ben shared in January. “Seeing our boys meet their new sibling for the first time is something we are really looking forward to!” He continued, “We realize that, in going from two to three kids, we’re about to switch from man-to-man to zone coverage, so we’ve definitely been taking advice from friends who are already in this stage! We love being parents and are really looking forward to this new arrival!”
Having a girl has been quite the adjustment, though. “From the day we found out we were expecting, we both guessed boy, and if our predictions are right, then we already have a ton of clothing and accessories ready to pass down. At the same time, we would absolutely love if we found out we were having a girl — though we’ve joked that we’d be starting from square one and might have to learn a few things,” Jessa explained.
Perhaps another girl has arrived. The pair announced in February 2021 they’re expecting baby No. 4 after experiencing a miscarriage in 2020. In July 2021, Jessa revealed she gave birth but did not reveal the name or sex.
Previously, the couple shared the exciting news that Jessa was pregnant with their rainbow baby. “After the heartbreaking loss of a baby last year, we’re overjoyed to share that another little Seewald is on the way!” they said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “The pregnancy is going smoothly, and both baby and Jessa are doing well. We are so grateful to God for the precious gift of a new life! The kids are delighted, and we can hardly wait to welcome this little one into our arms this summer.”

Josh Duggar and Anna Keller
With six kids, Josh and wife Anna have the largest family of all the Duggar kids. Together, they welcomed Makcynzie in 2009, Michael in 2011, Marcus in 2013, Meredith in 2015, Mason in 2017 and their youngest in November 2019.
On April 26, 2019, the reality star couple revealed to Us Weekly that they were expecting their sixth little one. “We couldn’t be happier to share with the world that our family is growing by one this fall. … We continually stand amazed by God’s love, redemption, grace and blessings in our lives. Our entire little family is ecstatic!” Two months later, they revealed that little Duggar would be a baby girl. They officially welcomed her on November 27, the day before Thanksgiving — and Anna’s due date. “Maryella Hope Duggar was born at 9:12 a.m., weighing 8 pounds and 2 ounces, and measuring 20 1/2 inches,” they told Us Weekly. “We are so thankful for a beautiful, healthy baby girl!”
Less than two years later, Josh and Anna revealed they were expecting again. “It’s a GIRL!!!!! We are overjoyed to announce baby seven is on the way and we can’t wait to hold her in our arms this fall!” she shared in April 2021.
This baby marks Josh and Anna’s seventh child together, and their new addition also means that the girls officially rule their household, as the boys are now outnumbered.

John David Duggar and Abbie Grace Burnett
John David, the so-called “Bachelor ’til the rapture,” gave up his title after tying the knot with Abbie in November 2018. By December, they were already facing pregnancy rumors thanks to a Bible quote John David shared on Instagram. And before long, they made their own big announcement. On August 1, the couple revealed that they’re expecting baby No. 1, and they welcomed her on January 7, 2020.
“Our lives have changed forever with the arrival of our baby girl,” the couple gushed to Us Weekly. “She is a beautiful gift from God. We are so blessed the Lord has given her to us. It’s still surreal to know that we are really parents, but it’s a great new adventure that we are excited to take on together.”
In a video from the couple’s gender reveal posted on TLC’s website, Abbie gushed about having a little girl. “I’m so excited about hair bows and pink dresses and lots of sparkle,” she said. Her husband added sweetly, “I just hope she’s as pretty as her mommy. I know she will be.”
Previously, the duo weighed in on how many kids they want together. At their wedding, the pastor joked that the twin was aiming to “outdo his father in the number of children” he wanted to have — only to get shut down by John David saying, “I don’t know about that.” Think they’ll have a small family?

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard
Mom of two Jill faced a lot of pregnancy speculation in 2018. First, fans thought she looked like she had a baby bump in one photo, then they noticed that she was going out of her way to crop her tummy out of pictures. In 2019, the rumors continued, with Jill shutting them down in February.
She and Derick already have two sons: Israel, who turned 5 years old in April 2020, and Samuel, who celebrated his third birthday in July. These days, however, the couple seem more prone to sparking rumors that they’re not planning to have any more kids. After Jill went through some scary experiences giving birth, fans thought she might take a break to rest and recuperate. In October 2020, Jill confirmed she is using non-hormonal birth control, fueling rumors they might be done for now.

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo
Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo announced they were expecting their first child together in January 2018, which was a long time coming considering most Duggars get pregnant within months of their wedding. In fact, JinJer were married for over a year before getting knocked up! Felicity, a.k.a. “Lissy,” was born on July 19, 2018.
Nearly two years later, the couple announced they’re having another little girl. After suffering a miscarriage in the fall of 2019, Jinger and Jeremy revealed she was expecting baby No. 2 in May 2020. “We are so excited,” Jinger, 26, told People. “Felicity is going to have to have a sister. Everything looks great with the baby. We’re so thankful. Had a lot of check-ups and we’re just really, really excited.” The lovebirds welcomed daughter Evangeline Jo on November 22, 2020.

Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell
Joseph and wife Kendra revealed they were expecting their first child in December 2017, just three months after getting married. “During this season that we are celebrating the birth of Christ, we are so excited to share with you that we are expecting the gift of a child ourselves!” the Counting On stars revealed. “Wow, it’s so exciting!!! We’ve both always loved children and seen them as a real blessing from God. It’s so surreal to think of being parents and having our own little one. We cannot wait to see this new baby!”
Well, they finally got to meet him on June 8, 2018. Little Garrett Duggar joined the family at 1:38 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and measuring in at 20-and-a-half inches long. “No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families, there’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today! Children truly are a gift from God. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and this new journey as parents,” Joe and Kendra said in their statement.
Less than a year later, they announced that they had a second gift from God, this time a little girl, on the way. “We are ready to double the fun at our house!” they told Us Weekly on April 11, 2019. “Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined. We love getting to parent together and are loving every moment and milestone. We are very happy that our little family will welcome a new addition later this year. Children really are a blessing from God!”
They welcomed that blessing on November 2, 2019. “She made a quick arrival in the early hours of the morning and has already melted our hearts,” they said in a statement shared with Us, revealing her name is Addison Renee. “We know Garrett is going to be a great big brother.”
On August 19, 2020, Joe and Kendra revealed they’re “so excited” to expand their brood yet again. “Garrett has already been such a loving big brother to Addison, and we look forward to Addison’s reaction to a life-size baby doll.” The tie-breaker is a baby girl expected to arrive in February 2021. They announced the arrival of baby No. 3, daughter Brooklyn Praise Duggar, on February 23.

Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson
Josiah and Lauren tied the knot on June 30, 2018, and fans started speculating right away when they would have an announcement to share. In an episode of Counting On, they shared their pregnancy news with their families. It wasn’t long, however, before they were opening up about suffering a miscarriage instead. “A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby,” Lauren revealed in a TLC clip released February 11, 2019. “I couldn’t believe it, and I was hoping it wasn’t true,” the mom said through tears. “It was the worst day of my life, really.”
Josiah added, “It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married. And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.”
Thankfully, they were blessed with their little rainbow baby after the storm. In May 2019, Josiah and Lauren announced that they were expecting baby No. 2 on Instagram. “We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the way!!!!” they wrote in their caption. “It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good!” Two months later, they announced their rainbow baby is going to be a precious baby girl.
On November 8, 2019, Lauren gave birth to their daughter, weighing in at 6 pounds and 5 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. In a statement to Us Weekly, Josiah and Lauren revealed the very special meaning behind the name they chose for their baby girl.
“After a long and difficult labor, our girl arrived,” the couple said. “When we finally got to see and hold our precious Bella Milagro, all the pain instantly went away. We can’t believe she is ours — she is so perfect! She definitely has lived up to her name, which means ‘beautiful miracle.’ Today we are basking in God’s goodness!”

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth
Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth announced their first pregnancy on Instagram very soon after their 2017 wedding. On August 30, they shared the happy news with three photos and a caption that said Joy was “eating for two!”
Joy wrote, “Austin and I are SO thankful to announce that we are parents!! Even before we were married we prayed that God would give us children and we are so blessed that he has given us this baby!”
They had a precious baby boy named Gideon on February 23, 2018, at 3:39 p.m. The big boy weighed 10 pounds and 3 ounces, and his parents said, “We are blessed beyond measure with the arrival of our son, Gideon Martyn Forsyth. Looking at our child for the first time was such an incredible moment! God is so good, and we are so thankful.” While Joy-Anna planned a home birth, things went awry and she was forced to rush to the hospital. Luckily, little Gideon was born happy and healthy.
In the spring of 2019, the family announced baby No. 2 was on the way! Unfortunately, the couple revealed just a few months later they suffered a miscarriage at 20 weeks, about halfway through the pregnancy. They took to Instagram to share the devastating news with their fans and followers, revealing the baby would’ve been a little girl named Annabell Elise. “Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means ‘God satisfies,’” they explained. “What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus.”
Thankfully, good news came in March 2020 when the couple announced they were expecting another baby girl. “I’m not actually as scared as I thought I was gonna be after miscarrying at 20 weeks,” she told fans right after taking a pregnancy test that seemed to confirm the news. “I thought I was going to be so nervous, but I really am not. I’m excited.” They welcomed their daughter, Evelyn, on August 21, 2020, and announced the news just a few days later.
“To say my heart is full is an understatement,” Joy wrote on Instagram. “We have been dreaming of this day and are so happy to announce that our baby girl arrived August 21 at 2:12 p.m. weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces and is 19.5 inches long! She has the best personality, is easy going and loves to be held! She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it! Getting to spend that quiet, quality time with her through the night has been SO special!”

Bonus! Amy Duggar and Dillon King
Amy Duggar, the “rebel” cousin to the main Duggar brood, took to Instagram on Easter Sunday in April 2019 to share the exciting news with her followers that she and her husband, Dillon King, were expecting. “Baby King is on the way!!!” Amy captioned the post. “Happy Easter from our growing family to yours!!” Unlike many of Amy’s cousins, who traditionally welcome their first kids not long after marriage, the duo waited four years to make an addition to their little family.
Later, Amy and Dillon revealed that they’re having a baby boy. On June, Amy shared a photo of herself and Dillon sitting on a bed, where they shared a sweet kiss as blue feathers floated all around them. “B💙Y!!!!” Amy captioned the shot.
A few months later, their little one finally arrived in October 2019. “Announcing Daxton Ryan King!” Dillon’s sister, Loren Bullard, told In Touch. “Both mom and baby are great and healthy! He was 7 pounds, 8 ounces and 20 inches long. Smooth delivery!”
