The Cultural Center la Bòbila de L'Hospitalet hosts an inclusive theater cycle for deaf people

  • The scheduled works are part of the conventional theatrical circuit and have been modified for your understanding

The

La Bòbila Cultural Center from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelonès) recovers, after a year of absence due to the pandemic, the

inclusive theater cycle 'Gestviu' for deaf or hard of hearing people . The shows have to do with all the disciplines that use gesture or movement as a narrative tool, although they all belong to the comedy genre, “at some point dramatic shows that have a special artistic value will be included”, they point out from the City Council of L'Hospitalet.

The project stems from the need for deaf people to have access to a culture carried out in a language that allows them to understand the show and that gives the same accessibility to deaf and hearing. “Respecting the creative work of the companies, the shows that will be offered in this cycle have undergone small modifications in the stage direction to transform a partially understandable stage language into a completely understandable one”, they assert from the consistory.

The performances will preferably take place on the first Friday of the month at 8:00 p.m. The shows corresponding to the first quarter of the year are: on January 21st it will be the turn of Carlo-Mô, with YouGur

; on February 11th that of

Puntmoc, with Dogma; and on March 4 will perform

H6Clown, with Brossa.
