The Burning Question The Curse Of Oak Island Fans Want Answered

If you’re the type of television connoisseur who’s fascinated with real-world mysteries, the History Channel is the gift that keeps on giving. Do you believe in unique lifeforms existing beyond the stars? If so, “Ancient Aliens” will cater to your curiosities. That being said, if you’re the type of person who dreams of embarking on a good old-fashioned treasure hunting escapade, “The Curse of Oak Island” is probably essential viewing in your household.

“The Curse of Oak Island” follows Marty and Rick Lagina, two brothers who originate from Kingsford, Michigan, as they navigate the titular Nova Scotia island in an attempt to uncover its speculated treasures, legendary artifacts and hidden mysteries. The reality show delves into the history of the island and all of the wild theories that make it such a fascinating place.

The series recently returned for its ninth season, but some fans are still trying to wrap their heads around questions that were introduced in previous installments.

What was underneath Samuel Ball's property?

Season 7 of “The Curse of Oak Island” seemingly offered a significant breakthrough for the treasure hunting enthusiasts. In one episode, the team discovered a stone tunnel under Samuel Ball’s property and stuck a sewer camera up it. However, the season ended before their discoveries were documented, prompting one Reddit user by the name of Raresaturn to address the situation.

The forum user wanted to know if subsequent seasons explained the team’s findings. As it turns out, they’ve yet to disclose any information about the sewer’s mysteries. “You are assuming everything they do is filmed for television. Most likely they did investigate it, realized it was a dead end and moved on,” wrote GlobalFreak.

Elsewhere, Psychoticrider proposed that it’s unlikely the team found anything of note in the drainage. “It wasn’t even worth air time to explain what it was. Probably an early septic system.” While fans seem to have theories on what that tunnel was all about, it looks like we’ll never know.
