Ryan Pollie's 'Stars' Review: Tuning in to the 70s

On the second LP that he publishes under his name (after two deliveries under the alias of Los Angeles Police Department), Pollie continues to enrich her Bedroom Folk Pop with an arsenal of sounds from the 70s in which Pink Floyd ('The Thing'), Grateful Dead ('On the nose'), Paul McCartney ('Harriton House') and the singer-songwriters of Laurel Canyon fit. The result is a brilliant collection of love and breakup songs which reaches its most moving point in the splendid 'Don't lie'.
