Police “eliminate” “dozens” of members of “extremist forces” in Kazakhstan

Police killed “dozens” of protesters during the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday when they tried to break into administrative buildings in Kazakhstan, according to the police force of this central Asian country, shaken by unprecedented protests over the rise in prices of energy.

“Last night, extremist forces tried to break into administrative buildings , the Almaty city police department, as well as local departments and police stations. Dozens of attackers were eliminated, “said police spokesman Saltanat Azirbek, quoted by the Interfax-Kazakhstan, TASS and Ria Novosti agencies.
