When one has to carefully follow the new Spanish records, one has to be prepared for the real whiplash that Nacho Vegas releases every few years. They say his albums are sad, and really an album by the musician from Gijón can be many things. But what is never, is an elemental contrast of Disney smiles and false tears, nor a string of banalities disguised as cryptic messages. It is so many things and as real as life itself. 'Still worlds collapsing' is the title of the one he is publishing today, after overcoming a creative block that prompted him to seclude himself in the small Asturian town of Ortiguera (not to be confused with the Galician Ortigueira) to meet again with the muses.
