Jordi Maluquer, writer, journalist, music critic and currently vice-president of Ràdio Associació de Catalunya, an entity that has reported his death. Maluquer was also one of the founders and first CEO of the newspaper Avui, where he also served as director from 1977 to 1982. In 1962 he won the Víctor Català Prize for short stories with his book Pol·len. And years later, in 1982, he was appointed General Director of Music, Theater and Cinema of the Department of Culture and in 1989, President of the Artistic Commission of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, where he was also its Acting Director. 1992 to March 1993.
He was also part of the Auditorium, in addition to collaborating as a columnist and music critic in various media. He was a member of the jury for various music competitions and was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ernest Lluch Foundation.
