Erika Jayne didn’t mince words about her divorce from Tom Girardi on Wednesday’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” calling the ordeal “f–king complicated.”
In the show’s opening minutes, Jayne — who split from the now-disgraced lawyer on Election Day last November — was seen riding in a car as she got ready to see her co-stars for the first time since dropping her bombshell text to them about her divorce.
“There’s so many layers to this divorce. It’s so f–king complicated,” she said in a voiceover. “It’s very difficult to explain.”
The “XXpen$ive” singer, 49, initially told her “RHOBH” castmates via text that she was ending her two-decade marriage to Girardi, 82. In this week’s episode, she acknowledged that her friends were likely “very shocked” by the news and were sure to have “a lot of questions.”
“I did not see it ending this way,” Jayne was later seen telling the cast, including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and Dorit Kemsley, who had previously dissected Jayne’s text together over FaceTime.
“I was going to hold that man’s hand until he died,” she continued.
In the wake of Jayne’s filing, Giardi’s legal woes began to surface as the two were sued by Edelson PC, a class-action firm representing the victims of Lion Air Flight 610, for allegedly embezzling money leading up to the divorce.
Recently, Jayne and Girardi’s fractured union was explored in the Hulu documentary “The Housewife and the Hustler,” which premiered this week. Jayne was dropped by her lawyer following the program’s release.
Jayne, whose glitzy Beverly Hills mansion was once featured on the Bravo series, currently resides in a 2,100-square-foot rental home in Los Angeles.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
