Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a battle-action shonen manga written and drawn by Koyoharu Gotouge. Studio Ufotable adapted the same into a Television anime that ran for a total of 26 episodes from April 6 to September 29, 2019.
The story takes place in Taisho-era Japan, where Tanjiro Kamado, a kindhearted and intelligent boy lives with his family. He has become his family’s sole source of income after the passing of his father. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by a demon.
Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the incident, with now Nezuko being transformed into a demon, but still surprisingly showing signs of human emotion and thought.
