Cape Town residents lay flowers at St George's Cathedral in memory of Tutu

Neighbors of Cape Town, South Africa, have begun to lay flowers in memory of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who died this Sunday at the age of 90. St. George's Cathedral has become one of the pilgrimage places for those who want to say goodbye to Tutu. “We are going to miss him a lot, his legacy will live forever, may Tata rest in peace,” explains an excited Rupaire Koopman, lovingly using the nickname by which the religious was known. Desmond Tutu was born in Johannesburg, but spent most of his life in Cape Town and led numerous anti-apartheid protest marches here.-Editor –
