Just two days before debuting at the Australian Open, Paula Badosa will arrive in Melbourne with the Sydney title won this Saturday against the Czech Barbora Krejcikova (world number 3) for a tight 6-3, 4-6 and 7-6(4).
The Catalan tennis player, 24 years old and now sixth in the world after her victory, is the second Spaniard to win the tournament of Sidney, after Arantxa Sánchez Vicario got it in 1998.
